4 tablespoon flour
1 cup milk
1 cup butter (softened)
1 cup sugar (granulated )
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix flour with milk in saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until very thick (like paste).
Cover top of mixture with plastic wrap, so it doesn’t film set aside until completely cooled.
Cream butter add sugar and beat
with electric mixer until most of the sugar has dissolved (this could take a while keep checking by rubbing a bit between your fingers) add the cooled flour mixture
and beat about 4 minutes or until thoroughly mixed, add a dash of salt and vanilla keep whipping Until icing resembles whipped cream. (Don’t over beat or mixture might separate and become soupy.)
I love this Topping/Frosting as an alternative to the regular butter cream that I use for cake decorating or filling for buns .It
